Do we need a Revolution in India?

I don't know what we mean by revolution here!

I think the need of hour is a complete revamp of everything including our outlook towards everything. From Politics to corporate to entrepreneurs to self employed to job goers to job seekers to students to housewives to farmers everyone has to change!!!

There is no point in blaming a small section of the society.

The blood in politics and corporate of this country so much so corrupt that even their next generation cannot change it! Ambanis, Priyanka, Stalin for example! Am sure the moment they try that they are gone!

I believe the change should be systematic and a planned one to deliver with long term in mind. It can happen only slowly! In my view, the only way to do that is to educate people! Am sure everyone is capable of doing it!

+ If only am able to give education to 100 kids before I die, I think I have sowed the seeds!
+ If 10% each become IAS, IPS, Politicians, Doctors, Engineers, Govt employees, IFS, Farmers, Teachers and Advocates I think I have got the root.
+ Now these 100 do a 100 each that is the tree!
+ If those do a 100 each, the 3rd Generation from now will have the fruits and become seeds themselves!
+ If I become 10000 now, I think the fruits can be had in the 2nd generation itself!

But, these things have to be done at the right earnest! Be anonymous to those kids! Never expect any favors from them and that will set the right context! They will do so when they do a 100!

So the change is within us! Rather than expecting a Mahatma or a Nethaji, lets be the ones who make the difference! Look around you. You will find a lot of potential seeds!

Take ownership of the society that your Grand Children will live in and start sowing seeds!!!!

Stand up and Say I'm the change!

Appreciate Ladies in your Lives!

I really was really ashamed that I never did this . Not that it was intentional, but it was ignorance!
Please go back to your homes and just say thank you! Be it your wife or mom or sister!
Please read through some of the sacrifices a lady makes to just keep us happy!
- Raj

Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are;
Who is earning almost as much as you do;

One, who has dreams and aspirations just as
you have because she is as human as you are;

One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your
Sister haven't, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system
that gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements

One, who has lived and loved her parents & brothers & sisters, almost as
much as you do for 20-25 years of her life;

One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that, her home, people who love her, to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your family ,name

One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from day #1, while you sleep oblivious to her predicament in her new circumstances, environment and that kitchen

One, who is expected to make the tea, first thing in the morning and cook
food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more,
and yet never ever expected to complain; to be a servant, a cook, a mother,
a wife, even if she doesn't want to; and is learning just like you are as
to what you want from her; and is clumsy and sloppy at times and knows that you won't like it if she is too demanding, or if she learns faster than you;

One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at her workplace too, those, who she knows from school days and yet is willing to put all that on the back-burners to avoid your irrational jealousy, unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities;

Yes, she can drink and dance just as well as you can, but won't, simply
Because you won't like it, even though you say otherwise

One, who can be late from work once in a while
when deadlines, just like yours, are to be met;

One, who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important,
relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her some
and trust her;

One, who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows in your entire house - your unstinted support, your sensitivities and most importantly - your understanding, or love, if you may call it.

But not many guys understand this......

Please appreciate "HER"

God Helps a person who helps himself...

Big Hats off to God who is silently managing the world even though lots of bad things are happening infront of his eyes

- A statement by a fellow community person on Orkut!

How a contradicting statement..... "there are a lot of bad things when God is around!" If God was there, how could this happen? Aren't we supposed to live peacefully if God has a purpose to create us all in the first place? Am not questioning the existence of God! Am just questioning the blind faith that put on power external to us! Why don't we take responsibility to our actions?

First believe in yourselves! Then believe in power beyond your control! I don't deny that there is something that external to us that has an effect on us. Call it time, luck, God, fate, butterfly effect what ever.... but be sure about the fact that your actions and deeds determine your future, your existence. For eg.,. I believe nature is the most powerful thing that controls us. When it unleashes a flood, my actions should be to run to high grounds or swim or hold a tree. If I don't do any of these, am sure to be erased.

So what ever be your ideology, believe in you! You are the least powerful creature in this universe, but you are the only one who is equipped with all the powers to control yourself! Don't miss your actions and blame God! Do it yourself! God helps a person who helps himself! Again.. here God can be anyone whom you think.. a idol, time, fate, luck, Nature etc.

Exploitation....

Again one more debade..... Why we are hell bent to our empoyers in the IT industry. And my response!

Its called exploitation!
It happens in every single minute in human existence.

It happens in every society, community, industry, office, house, (wedded) lives so on and so fort.

I also know why we see IT as the culprit! No other industry had such an enormous and exaggerated growth than this industry. And If you see the last century, any industry which was at its peak stayed there only for less than 5 years. Be, it physics, astronomy, chemical, nuclear etc.,. But IT has sustained its peak for more than 15 years now.

Am not talking about IT in India alone. Its about the entire world. Even the peaking of other industries have gone unnoticed, because of the scales of IT industry.

The reason is the IT industry is not a self sustained Industry in itself. It pretty much is a dependent industry on other industries. A small eg., I come from a family which has a back ground of Civil Industry. Even today we continue our projects there. Until 12 years back, we used to hire Civil Diplomas and Engg. Graduates to do the designing for a project. THey used to have drafters and big boards and sheets to do it. Now with CAD, I can myself do it (with all due respect to the Engineers)! We need technical expertise only when we go live like raising RCC structures etc.,.

I think, I pretty much deviated from the topic. EXPLOITATION! No bloody system in the world is immune to this. The point is.. don't blame a single entity in the system. Its the total eco system that is probably not right, but I guess thats what nature has taught us! Survival of the fittest! Take life as it comes!

Time Machines!

Recently, I saw a question on Orkut, if I would go back or forward in time. And the Answer that I came to my Mind......

We always miss anything and everything from our past! We always want to know what would happen to us in the Future! But given a chance I would never want to go back in time nor do I want to go forward as well!

Though I love and miss a lot of my past, I don't want to miss what is now! I don't want to miss the motivation of being curious on what would be the next minute/day/month, so on and so forth.

I know that one day I would have to die, but that is why we are born! We are born to die! Its only natural! What we do though is survive every day and every challenge that we face until we reach the end! I better try to survive the new challenges than go back live through the same set of challenges we faced earlier! Besides whats the fun living the same life again!

Though am a lot eager and may be a bit anxious to know what life has to offer to me, I also will not go forward in life because this makes my life shorter! Whats the fun in not seeing my little angel's angel grow, roll over, crawl, sit, walk, talk and finally start questioning me! I better try to survive the new challenges than to skip them!
I'll enjoy each and everyday and thats what I believe I'm here for! I would rather live my entire life and die and rather than reaching my end so soon!

I know I could have spent these 5 minutes of typing this text in a much better and productive way. But thats the way it goes! I would have missed this experience if I had taken the time machine :P

Raj

Please Vote!

Take Pride:
We all should know Voting is the basic right we all have, as citizens of India. It is the right of every citizen to determine the course of this country and not our now corrupt bloody politicians! If only the elite, educated 40% of the population who do not vote normally turn out on that day, for sure we would have had a better India! Now, please do not rake up the debate if India is now better or not!

The young new voters; feel proud to say that you had a say in determining what India should be! Please get out on the Voting day and go and vote! Its history! And for others who are voters already, please ensure we continue to do the same! Lets all take pride in determining the future of India!

Lets all say out loud that am a proud Indian and I have never missed to vote in any election no matter what the situation was! Am proud to say that! I have never missed a chance to vote!

Politicians and We:
Don't ever blame politicians any more as everyone who has voting right is a politician by him/herself!

Most of us seem to have an excuse based on the politicians! But I have a simple question...
How many of follow the simple road rules? May be a paltry 10%? Yes I mean follow strictly!
Like...
- See the amber stop, start only when you see green?
- Allow the pedestrians the right to cross (if not a right at least its humane to respect their lives)
How many of us do that? The Buses take a ride on cars, cars take a ride on bikes, bikes take a ride on pedestrians and so on and so forth! When a simple common man like us, do take things for granted, what would a person with some power do?

I'm not saying that its all because of us! Am saying that the system itself is not right! Everyone disobeys the well laid rules as per our capacity! Rather than taking it as our ownership we want the politicians to change. We want them humble, innocent, have some morals etc.

We have to start creating these kind of awareness among people! If the system steadies itself, then you will see lot more young people, not sons and daughters of politicians, or shakers and movers. Not that am against their involvement, but they are the same breed! They just are so corrupt! The political and corporate DNA in this country is so corrupt that we need to stone everyone! The fact is that its a corrupt political system that is from top to bottom!

If alone we can instill confidence in ourselves and say we can do that, we can definitely change the system! I re-iterate, we are as much part of the system as like those with the corrupt DNA! We need to change first rather than asking them to change!

Leader:
You don't have to kook forward to seeing leaders in the current crop! That's where we falter! Same old beggars come into play! More leaders should arise! New Leaders I mean!
Leaders are not the ones that are followed!
They are the ones that lead! The issue is that the current setup does not allow anyone else to lead!

Summary:
In my view not voting at all is a crime! Please Please get out and vote!

And lastly, it is our duty as well! There is no point in blaming the corrupt system for all the misfortunes! We are pretty much part of the system! Lets first gear ourselves to keep it clean. The starting point is election! Get out and vote! And then the rest will be taken care of!

If you do not want to vote enjoy the 49-O provision in the Indian constitution! Its better than sitting at home watching TV!

Lets stand up once and make the difference!

Universe, God, Nature.

There is no boundary defined yet for universe.

For all we know, we might be as big that we MIGHT have n number of galaxies within ourselves. There may be some human life within you itself!

On the other hand, we might be as small that our milky way MIGHT be inside an ant!

To be a bit specific, the humans are nothing but a small world within a larger framework or we ourselves are one of the framework!

I don't question the existence of GOD! I believe that there is some power that is beyond our control. Some call it time, some call it luck, some idolize it and worship and some believe that there is no such a thing (which in itself something beyond you).

To me its mother nature who is the super power. If you see, all the above facts/factors I mentioned above are well confined within the control of Nature!

And Nature has no boundaries either!

Lesson from Grass.....

Grass; I don't know how many of us have noticed it!

Even when someone steps on it, it never gets hurt.....
It never hurts others too....

When a wild storm attacks, all the big trees get uprooted....
But our simple grass survives....

Be humble, noble and modest like the grass,
Simple but strong.

A note from Warren Buffet...

We begin this New Year with dampened enthusiasm and dented optimism. Our happiness is diluted and our peace is threatened by the financial illness that has infected our families, organizations and nations.

Everyone is desperate to find a remedy that will cure their financial illness and help them recover their financial health. They expect the financial experts to provide them with remedies, forgetting the fact that it is these experts who created this financial mess.

Every new year, I adopt a couple of old maxims as my beacons to guide my future. This self-prescribed therapy has ensured that with each passing year, I grow wiser and not older. This year, I invite you to tap into the financial wisdom of our elders along with me, and become financially wiser.

Hard work: All hard work brings profit; but mere talk leads only to poverty.
Laziness: A sleeping lobster is carried away by the water current.
Earnings: Never depend on a single source of income.
Spending: If you buy things you don
't need, you 'll soon sell things you need.
Savings: Don
't save what is left after spending; spend what is left after saving.
Borrowings: The borrower becomes the lender
's slave.
Accounting: It
's no use carrying an umbrella, if your shoes are leaking.
Auditing: Beware of little expenses; a small leak can sink a large ship.
Risk-taking: Never test the depth of the river with both feet.
Investment: Don
't put all your eggs in one basket.

I
'm certain that those who have already been practicing these Principles remain financially healthy. I 'm equally confident that those who resolve to start practicing these principles will quickly regain their financial health.
Let us become wiser and lead a happy, healthy, prosperous and Peaceful life.

TODAY!!!!!!

Today I will delete from my dairy
two days: yesterday and tomorrow.

Yesterday was to learn
and tomorrow will be the consequence
of what I can do today!

Today I will face life
with the conviction that this day
will not return.

Today I will be brave enough
not to let any opportunity pass me by,
my only alternative is to succeed.

Today I will invest
my most valuable resource: my time,
in the most transcendental work:
my life;

I will spend each minute
passionately to make
of today a different
and unique day in my life.

Today I will deny every obstacle
that appears on my way trusting
I will succeed.

Today I will resist
pessimism and will conquer
the world with a smile,
with the positive attitude
of expecting always the best.

Today I will have my feet on the ground
understanding reality
and the stars' gaze
to invent my future.

Today I will take the time to be happy
and will leave my footprints and my presence
in the hearts of others.

Today, I invite you to begin a new season
where we can dream
that everything we undertake is possible
and we fulfil it,
with joy and dignity.
